The services will be focused on the communities within which they are based with an emphasis on outreach services.  Flexibility, accessibility and response to local need will define the way the services will operate.

Depending on assessed risk of the client once assessed the service will provide support according to risk level and to need.  This will include a package of the following interventions:

·	Complete an initial and repeated risk assessment (using an agreed risk assessment tool) in order to identify level of risk.
·	Provide immediate emotional and personal safety support for adult survivors and their children.
·	Provide the relevant information to enable clients to make informed choices.
·	Develop a personal safety and support plan with the client.
·	Refer high-risk clients to the MARAC and fully engage with information exchange through the MARAC process, including providing IDVA support to the MARAC/ MARAC-referring agencies.
·	Support clients to obtain emergency temporary housing, spaces in refuges and housing advice.
·	Assist clients in dealing with the police, council and other agencies to make sure they are aware of all of their options and are comfortable in exploring them.
·	Support clients through the court process, including providing IDVA support to the Specialist Domestic Violence Court, on a rota basis.
·	Provide parenting support to clients, working within a safeguarding children framework.
·	Ensure clients have access to out-of-hours support in an emergency.
·	Signpost clients to other agencies where necessary and work in tandem with other agencies where appropriate, such as in cases of complex need, including substance misuse and mental ill health, and with equalities groups/ agencies.
