Arnos Vale Cemetery is a large Grade II* registered Victorian cemetery with local and international significance. It is also a beautiful green space with listed buildings and monuments, a wildlife haven with a number of habitats, and a valuable educational resource.
Location
Arnos Vale Cemetery is situated between the A37 Wells Road and the A4 Bath Road in Bristol. For SAT NAV users the exact address is Bath Road, Bristol, BS4 3EW.
Opening hours
- March to September: Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 5pm, Sunday 10am to 5pm
- October to February: Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 4.30pm, Sunday 10am to 4.30pm
The Visitor Reception located at East Lodge is open from Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm. The Gift Shop also located at East Lodge is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Parking
Parking is very limited at Arnos Vale Cemetery and we recommend using public transport. If you plan to arrive by coach please contact the Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust for further information on parking arrangements.
Access
Arnos Vale Cemetery is a fascinating historic place and we have made recent improvements to footpaths and buildings on site. However, the sloping landscape and the variety of historic structures do not allow full access to all sites. Toilet Facilities
Public toilets are available at the Spielmann Educational Centre.
