Introduction
Planning applications, which are not decided by officers under delegated powers, are referred to a Development Control Committee for a decision by councillors.
There are three Development Control Committees:
- Development Control (Central) Committee.
- Development Control (North) Committee.
- Development Control (South and East) Committee.
The Development Control Planning Committee Areas Map (pdf, 130 KB) shows which wards are covered by each committee.
How do I find out which applications are going to committee?
- Contact us.
- Search Date Actual Committee at Planning Online.
- View the agenda for each meeting.
When and where are meetings held?
Committee meetings are usually held at 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon in The Council House (unless otherwise stated).
See Council - minutes, agendas and reports for details of meeting dates and agendas.
Where and when can I view the committee report?

How do I have my say?
If you have made a comment, we will let you know that the application is going to committee, seven days before the committee date.
If you wish to make a statement or submit a petition to the committee, contact the Democratic Services Team by 12noon on the day before the meeting.
