Safer Bristol Partnership's Drug Strategy Team aims to support drug users and their carers in Bristol by ensuring they can access the best treatment quickly and easily. (A carer is someone who is concerned about or affected by someone else's drug use. A carer could be a family member, partner or friend.)
We do this by working with drug treatment agencies, service users and community groups to provide a range of drug treatment services according to public need.
Bristol currently has an estimated 8,000 problematic drug users. Of these, over 4,500 are receiving structured treatment, and another 1,000 are accessing advice, information and needle exchange services.
In this section you will find advice and information on the services that are available in Bristol. If you are looking for help for yourself or someone else then you may wish to contact the organisations in the directory, or make use of the helplines on the right hand side of this page. You may also find our FAQ section helpful if you have any specific enquiries.
If you are concerned about someone else's drug use, you can contact KWADS on 0117 953 3870.
