The Centre Promenade is a busy, dynamic, 24 hour city centre space with constant pedestrian and vehicle movement and is a very popular site for commercial promotions, advertising, and markets. The Centre Promenade is the city's main bus and pedestrian travel hub and has a correspondingly high 24/7 footfall. The venue is surrounded by the characterful Old City and business districts, cultural centres, leisure facilities, and is next to the rapidly developing Harbourside. The site consists of seven event spaces running from north to south, bordered by roads and to the south the Harbourside. There are power and water supplies, three vehicle access points and parking areas.
The North End
Area 1A 1A approx 20 m x 20 m event space This area is an important pedestrian thoroughfare with adjacent bus stops, taxi rank, benches, mature trees and planting design. There are spaces for promotional events though vehicle access is limited due to the large extent of french limestone paving. There is 1 x power supply.
Neptune Area
Area 2A and 2B 2A approx 25 m x 30 m event space 2B approx 10 m x 10 m event space This is the most popular promotional event area with the heaviest footfall. The area includes timber, stainless steel benches, a coffee cart concession and hard standing granite surface spaces. There are 1 x power supplies.
Centre - South Fountain Area
Area 3A and 3B 3 approx 20 m x 15 m event spaces The event space is situated high above the Cascade water feature with dramatic views down St Augustine's Reach to Pero's Bridge. The site consists of timber decking and granite surfaced areas, stainless steel benches and includes a crepes concession and café seating area. Steps lead down to the ferry landing. There are 2 x power supplies.
Quayside
Area 4A and 4B 4A approx 25 m x 20 m event space 4B approx 45 m x 20 m event space These event spaces are situated above the Cascade and ferry landing stage. The city Christmas tree is sited in the paved part of Area 4A. This is a good site for vehicle access and large events and promotions.
