Assisted Purchase Scheme

The Assisted Purchase Scheme is run by the Bristol Arts & Music Service and allows pupils to purchase instruments without having to pay the VAT.

In order to purchase an instrument through the scheme the following conditions must be met:

• The student must be receiving instrumental tuition through BAMS, either in a Local Authority school or through one of our Music Centres.
• The instrument must be portable.
• The instrument must be appropriate to the student’s needs and ability.

If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity complete an Assisted Purchase scheme order form. This contains full details of the procedure that you will need to follow to order your instrument. Please note that there is a £5 admin charge for participating in this scheme.
