Sacred Text Archive

Description:A complete library of the most important books ever written. The scriptures of every world religion, in English and in the original language. Hundreds of books about religion, mythology, folklore and the esoteric. It includes many texts scanned from rare books no longer in print. Shakespeare, atheism, alchemy, Atlantis, Tarot and philosophy among the non-religious subjects covered. Includes over 1000 complete books - ideal for schools, libraries and students.

The Sherborne Missal (2002)

Description: Written and illuminated at the begining of the 15th Century, it is the largest and most lavishly decorated service book to have survived from the middle ages. Now the reader can turn the digitised pages of the manuscript in real time using the computer mouse.

The Transatlantic Slave Trade: a Database on CD-ROM (1999)

Description: Contains the records of 27,233 trans-Atlantic slave ship voyages made between 1595 and 1866. These records account for perhaps 70% of the Atlantic Slave Trade - particularly the voyages between 1860 and 1867, when the last recorded slave crossing occurred.

Vital Records Index (1538 - 1906)
