Brandon Hill Park
Description
A couple of minutes' walk from the city centre, Brandon Hill may be the oldest municipal open space in the country, coming into the posession of Bristol Corporation in 1174.
Brandon Hill is one of Bristol’s most popular summer picnic spots with plenty to interest everyone, panoramic views of the city and docks, and spectacular sunsets.
Brandon Hill Park is open all day, all year round. Access to the park is from Great George Street, off Park Street, Jacob Wells Road and Berkeley Square: two minutes' walk from the centre promenade.

The small play area has a dog-free sand pit play area for under 12s, with toddler swing and climbing frame.
Outside are swings, a monkey bar climbing frame and a new climbing frame with nautical themed rigging and crows nests for older children.
Access
The play area is towards the bottom of the hill. It's accessible from the footpath running between entrances on Jacob’s Wells Road and Queen’s Parade.
Because the park is very hilly, access may be challenging for people with disabilities and for wheelchair users. There's very limited parking in nearby roads.
