Victoria Park

Description

Victoria Park is a large, popular Victorian park with lots of facilities, fine views and wide open grassy areas giving the impression of plenty of space.

There is a skate and wheels park, an outdoor gym and a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)

Entrance to the park is from neighbouring streets: St Luke’s Road, Hill Avenue, Nutgrove Avenue, Somerset Terrace and Fraser Street.

The park is very hilly with an undulating landscape with many widing paths and steps, and may be very challenging for people with disabilities and wheelchair users.

The park is open and accessible 24 hours a day.

Facilities and activities

The play area has a large set of adventurous climbing units with aerial walkways, swinging steps, rope bridges, monkey bars, tower and nets.

The whole play area is fenced so as to be dog free and includes a large area of grass to run around in, and benches for sitting.

The play area is on a slope and may be very challenging for people with disabilities. It's generally unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Access

The new play area is close to entrances on St Lukes Road and Hill Avenue, and accessible from footpaths within the park.

The Multi Use Games area and outdoor gym can be accessed from St Lukes Road and by footpaths through the park.

The skate and wheels park can be accessed from Fraser Road and by footpaths through the park.
