We provide 1:1 trauma-informed education and mentoring to support pupils from KS1 to Post 16, who:
- are LAC
- have a SEND (including those with EHCPs)
- are excluded (or at risk of permanent exclusion)
- are known to the Youth Offending Team
- are medically unable to attend school
- have SEMH needs
- require support to re-integrate into a full-time provision
- are UASC
Delivery
- We provide qualified teachers with experience of supporting vulnerable learners for 1:1 tutoring and mentoring.
- Our tutors have a range of experience delivering 1:1 and small group support to vulnerable learners in mainstream and specialist provisions, and as part of public bodies such as CAMHS and Social Services.
- We provide a Team Around the Child in the form of our SENDCo, Safeguarding Team, and SEND specialist staff. This team are responsible for the pupils’ welfare and progress while in our provision and can:
- Support families and care homes to ensure CYP’s engagement with our provision
is maximised. - Attend EHCP review meetings and feed into the Graduated Response with
schools and other education providers. - Attend CIN, PEP review and other strategy meetings.
Every offer is bespoke to the student, we offer a variety of subjects and vocational schemes of work, including:
- Core subjects
- Other subjects, depending on local tutor experience (including MFL, Sociology, History, Art).
- For Post 16 students tutors offer vocational, careers focused provisions (Construction, health and beauty, childcare)
- Emotional support, anger management, self-regulation strategies, therapeutic
activities. - Tuition and entry into functional skills examinations in English and Maths.
