Services

Set within the therapeutic surroundings of Hartcliffe City Farm, Arise ALP offers 1:1 mentoring and education for KS3 and KS4 students who are struggling to engage in a mainstream setting.

We believe in offering quality academic sessions every morning, delivered by our talented teaching staff. Learners are assessed when they start with us, and progress is monitored regularly. This assessment informs their learning map and goals. These are bespoke to the needs of the student and so may vary from catching up on core English and maths skills to offering support in a wide range of academic areas that the student may be studying with the commissioning body.

We have a robust and reactive PSHE curriculum to help support our students in navigating the various challenges that young people are faced with today. Our teachers and mentors both contribute to daily reports which are fed back to commissioning bodies bi-weekly.

Students also access learning from a range of engaging vocational areas that supplements this core academic offer. As part of our curriculum intent, we believe in nurturing creative expression within our students and so our vocational offer includes:

  • Music Production (including rapping and singing)
  • Art and Photography
  • Carpentry
  • Cooking Skills
  • Animal Care (utilising our city farm setting)
  • Sports and Fitness
  • Bike Mechanics

We put the safety of our students at the heart of everything we do and build strong relationships with students, parents/carers, commissioning bodies and other professionals to ensure that our safeguarding is robust.
