In school and within timetable, Creative Youth Network (CYN) deliver a 16-week Creative Early Intervention programme, which is child-centred based on professional youth work relationships, and trauma informed delivery, enabling pupils with complex needs and at-risk of exclusion, to thrive through creativity and youth work.
Supporting pupils from year 6 upwards (upper key stage 2 to 4 including transitions to post-16 destination), in cohorts of up to 10 pupils per group, we tailor the programme to each individual and group, adapting youth worker expertise (including Wellbeing Practitioners), course content and delivery to best their needs.
Working with partners, CYN’s ALP creates a holistic provision that supports young people with SEND and with complex barriers to engaging in education. We work closely with the schools, teachers and families to ensure the programme and support is conducive to the young persons needs and outcomes, making additional referrals into external agencies and additional CYN provision.
Using an iThrive model with a Thrive Whole School Approach to support wellbeing whilst partnering with Education Mental Health Teams (EMHT). CYN’s ALP programme supports the individual student to identify and respond to the issues causing them to disengage in education, get the support they need, whilst achieving outcomes, accreditation and reintegration into full-time education.
