Can you help us deliver more high quality, affordable homes in Bristol to help ensure the city's success benefits all our citizens?
With a diverse and growing population, Bristol is regularly voted one of the best places to live in the UK - and we need to deliver more homes to tackle the crisis of housing affordability and supply that the city faces.
Our Affordable Housing Delivery Plan
Bristol City Council is currently undertaking its biggest affordable housing delivery drive for decades. We are delivering the Affordable Housing Delivery Plan 2022-25 Go to https://democracy.bristol.gov.uk/documents/s70131/Appendix%20A1-Project%201000%20Housing%20Delivery%20Plan-2022-25%20-%20update.pdf (opens new window) which is targeted to deliver over 3,000 new council homes over the next 5 years.
This is in addition to the affordable homes being delivered through our Registered Provider Partners and own housing development company, Goram Homes.
To support this expanded development pipeline, we have a range of new opportunities for talented individuals to join our growing team and help deliver the council homes needed to make Bristol a better place.
The Housing Development Team
As part of the Housing Development Team, you'll deliver new council homes through direct delivery on council owned land and acquiring new homes from developers and the market.
Working alongside internal and external stakeholders, the team sees projects through all stages of the development process, from initial feasibility through to handover of new homes.
The Housing Development Team assesses project viability, appoints design teams, and develops designs through internal and planning approval processes, consulting with the public and other key stakeholders.
The team then manages detailed design completion, contractor tender and appointment, and continues to act as client through construction, completion and handover.
Alongside project management the team is also engaged with budget and policy change, and communicating our work to the City. pdf Find out more about our work Go to index.php?option=com_docman&view=document&alias=6089-new-build-brochure-jan-23&category_slug=documents&Itemid=159 (opens new window) (2.69 MB) .
