How to get involved with planting, and maintaining trees in Bristol, what you'll need to bring and what events are running.

Volunteer tree planting sessions are between December and March. Our maintenance sessions, which involve mulching and weeding around already planted trees, are between April and November

These events are run by One Tree Per Child Bristol.

What you'll need

You'll need to bring:

  • long trousers to protect your legs from any brambles, nettles and ticks
  • sturdy shoes 
  • suitable clothing for the weather
  • a packed lunch and plenty of water

We provide all training, tools, and PPE, so no experience necessary.

We also provide gardening gloves to each volunteer but bring your own gloves if you have them.
