Diseased ash trees

Chalara ash dieback is a fungus that affects ash trees. Find out how to identify a tree with chalara at the Forestry Commission website.

If you find an ash tree that you think has the disease, you need to tell the Forestry Commission.

We're monitoring the disease outbreak. We won't remove infected trees, but we may prune them if they're dangerous.
