Would you like the opportunity to improve the lives of Bristol's citizens?
This is an exciting opportunity to join Housing Repairs and Maintenance, part of Housing and Landlord Services at Bristol City Council. You can help make a big difference by ensuring our properties are safe and secure homes for our residents.
The Housing Repairs and Maintenance service focuses on providing good quality repairs to a large variety of different types of properties amongst our 27,500 homes for residents and leaseholders. You'll work within teams of dedicated construction professionals to carry out minor and major repairs on residential properties across the city.
All the roles require commitment, accountability and a can-do attitude, where going the extra mile is normal practice. We're always looking for continuous improvement in our delivery of this essential service, working within dedicated timelines and budgets. The role is varied, fast paced, challenging, rewarding and delivers job and customer satisfaction.
For most of our roles, hybrid working arrangements are available. This allows teams to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice and mixing both home and office working.
Join us and you'll receive a generous rewards package including:
- flexible working options
- membership of the Local Government Pension scheme
- a generous annual leave allowance
In addition, you'll be working in a supportive environment where you'll have the chance to make Bristol a better place and contribute to its future.
Applications will be reviewed on a regular basis and the job advert will come to a close, once positions have been appointed. If shortlisted, applicants will be given a weeks’ notice for interview.
At Bristol City Council, we're passionate about our aim to be an inclusive workplace for all that reflects the communities we serve, and we believe everyone is valuable. We particularly welcome applicants from groups underrepresented within this service, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, female, LGBTQ+ and disabled candidates. We're committed to ensuring all our staff can succeed. Appointments will be made on merit.
