The Welfare Rights and Money Advice Service (WRAMAS) provides advice, consultancy, information and training, to a range of clients, services and organisations in Bristol.
Casework
You could be referred to WRAMAS by a social worker, housing adviser, income officer or another council team. If you are referred to us, we will provide you with benefits advice and in some cases we might help you to claim a disability benefit or to appeal a benefit decision that you disagree with.
This service is for vulnerable people on low incomes, who are missing out or at risk of losing a big part of their income. We particularly aim to help disabled people, full-time carers and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to a problem with their benefits.
We always have a waiting list so cannot provide immediate casework help.
For benefits advice, call us on the number below.
Help may also be available from independent advice agencies in Bristol. For more information see the ACFA website.

Welfare Rights and Money Advice Support Services
Provided for support workers in some services commissioned by Bristol City Council.
We're funded to provide specialist welfare rights and money advice support services to many long and short term support agencies. These services work with a range of vulnerable people, providing accommodation based or floating support.
We provide training, telephone support and information for support workers. If you're a support worker, contact us to be added to our mailing list for upcoming courses.
We also take referrals for assisted casework, to develop support worker skills, and specialist casework referrals for example benefit appeals or bankruptcy.
