Our website will be down for maintenance between 10am and midday, Monday 23 December. Sorry for any inconvenience.

There's a problem with our search function at the moment, if you can't find what you're looking for please use Google or Bing.

If you're a tenant or leaseholder, you can submit ideas for projects that improve the look and feel of where you live.

Project ideas submitted must benefit council homes and communal areas.

The projects will be funded through the Neighbourhood and Environmental Improvement bid programme.

  • landscaping, planting work
  • improved lighting
  • communal fencing

  • benches and seated areas
  • work which could complement other improvements

This list is not exhaustive and other projects may be considered for funding.

The funding isn't for

  • projects that only benefit individuals
  • existing or planned maintenance projects

How to make your suggestion

Before making your suggestion, you'll need the support of one other resident.

Your suggestion will be reviewed against a set of criteria:

  • how it will improve fellow residents' quality of life
  • the number of residents who will benefit
  • how it will help bring residents together
  • how it will encourage residents to get involved in sharing their views about housing services related decision making

Make a suggestion

Alternatively, you can fill out a pdf paper version of the form (162 KB) . Your housing officer can also help you complete the form.

The address details to send paper forms to can be found at the bottom of this page.

What happens next

Once we've received your idea it will be reviewed by other residents and staff from Bristol City Council.

  • We will let you know the outcome of the review within 4 to 6 weeks
  • Your housing officer will also keep you updated as the review progresses
