Why roadworks could be inactive
Roadworks could be inactive because:
- it's after normal working hours
- multiple excavations are open due to mains replacement and workers need to leave some open for final connections
- water mains are being chlorinated
- mains are on pressure test
- concrete is curing
- gas is venting
How to report inactive roadworks
You can report roadworks where no activity has taken place for a long period of time to us.
We'll check with whoever is responsible for the roadworks to make sure work is being carried out in a timely way.
