How we measure our performance against key priorities.

Performance progress

Performance data is available via a performance dashboard, with a user guide within the guidance section:

Formal performance reports are produced every 3 months and reported publicly to each of the 8 Policy Committees.

The latest published overall report is Q2 2024 to 2025 Performance report as reported to Strategy and Resources Committee in December 2024.

Corporate Strategy and Business Plans

The Bristol City Council Corporate Strategy 2022 to 2027 sets out our contribution to the city and our key priorities over five years.

In addition, each year we publish a Business Plan to outline our priority actions during this financial year, and how we will measure our progress.

These documents are on the Corporate Strategy page.

Performance Framework

The  pdf 2024 to 2025 Performance Framework (237 KB) outlines the approach being taken to Corporate Performance this year, including reporting to the new Policy Committees. It links to the actions and performance metrics in the Business Plan 2024/25.

The  pdf Business Plan 2024/2025: Performance Measures and Targets (689 KB)  appendix lists the targets for each of the performance metrics, plus the year-end results for 2023/2024.

Performance reports at Policy Committees

The Corporate Business Plan is scrutinised at the Strategy and Resources Committee and other Policy Committees for relevant themes.

Meetings and full performance reports are on committee meetings and reports online. These are presented at the first available meeting following the end of each quarter.
