Bristol City Council tenants and leaseholders are invited to meet the Housing Ombudsman, Richard Blakeway, to learn about the free, impartial and trusted service on offer to resolve housing management issues.
The event will take place on Thursday 8 May 2025, 2pm-3pm online via Zoom. Sign up below to book your place and submit your questions in advance.
Why we're holding the event
The event aims to give you a voice and help you understand the complaints process. Your feedback will help us to make improvements to our housing and landlord services.
Senior managers from Bristol City Council Housing and Landlord Services will join Richard Blakeway at the event to listen to your issues and concerns and act on feedback.
How the Housing Ombudsman can help
If you have a housing complaint that you don't think has been resolved after going through our 2 stage complaints process, you can ask Richard questions about how the Housing Ombudsman Service can help you.
Types of complaints include:
- disrepair
- anti-social behaviour
- complaint handling
- damp and mould
- adaptions
- charges
The Housing Ombudsman Service will not be able to comment on any specific complaints that the service is dealing with or has previously dealt with.
Book your place and submit a question
Once you have registered you will be sent details about how to join the meeting.
As well as submitting questions in advance, there will be an opportunity to raise questions on the day. Any remaining unanswered questions will be followed up after the session.
If you haven't attended any type of meeting before or are unfamiliar with using Zoom, it's okay. We will give you all the support you need.
For more information about this event, help booking a place or submitting a question, you can contact the Tenant Participation team at tpu@bristol.gov.uk or call 0117 352 1444.
