How to print from your own device using Wi-Fi, the file types you can print, and how much it costs.

You can print documents using wi-fi in Bristol libraries from your own computer, tablet or smartphone.

You don't need to be in a library or install an app.

Files you can print

You can print these file types:

  • PDF
  • DOC
  • DOCX
  • JPG
  • JPEG
  • PNG

To print a file type that isn't on the list, you should convert it into a pdf.

The file size limit is 150MB.

How to print online

To print online you'll need your:

  • library membership number (found on your library card)
  • 4 digit pin number
  • files on your device

How to collect your printed documents

Your documents won't print until you:

  1. visit a Bristol library
  2. release and pay for your prints at a self-service kiosk or ask a member of staff at the desk

How long are the files kept for

We'll delete your files if you don't collect your printing within 5 working days.

You should check the opening hours of the library you want to collect your printing from.

Your privacy

We'll only access the system to view or reprint files when necessary. For example, to reprint your files if the printer jams.

Printing costs

The Wi-Fi service is free to use but you'll need to pay the normal printing charges.
